In preparation for Trish+Scott's big day, I made the arduous trip east to Oshawa in snow squalls,on treacherous roads, uphill both ways...
Well, not really.
Scouting is something I actually enjoy. While adapting to change is an indispensable tool in a photographer's toolkit; the less time and effort I spend familiarizing myself with surroundings on the day of, the more time I have to take some amazing photos. It's also nice to get a feel for the day from the bride and groom closer to the wedding day, especially when you're handed list upon list (thanks Trish!)
It wasn't formally a "shooting" occassion, but in testing my lighting set-up for the reception I got about a minute of camera time, which was never really intended to hit my digital workflow, but here they are. It was interesting to test out some new processing techniques that I've been holding in my pocket for a special occassion.
Enjoy!
Coming up next for Fodor Photography? The full wedding, a workshop, and long overdue commercial projects.
